Verification
For certain rentals — typically higher-value gear — we ask for a quick one-time identity check before delivery.
STEP 1
Upload a document
From your account, submit one accepted ID document — a clear photo or scan is enough.
STEP 2
We review it
Our team checks the document against the details on your booking.
STEP 3
Approval
Once approved, your order status updates and delivery can proceed.
Accepted documents
You only need to submit one of these. If your first submission is rejected, you can resubmit a different document from the same page.
Your documents are handled securely
Uploaded documents are stored in encrypted cloud storage and only accessed by our verification team. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your data.
What we may ask you to verify
Depending on the order, we may ask for one or more of the following:
- Identity verification — using Aadhaar, driving licence, or passport
- Occupation verification — using official email, employee ID, business card, or social media handle
- PAN verification — using your PAN number and associated mobile number
- Address proof — using a rental agreement, passport, Aadhaar, or a utility bill
One of identity or occupation verification needs to be completed via OTP to successfully verify your identity.
Students
To ensure the security of high-value rentals, students must meet specific documentation standards:
- If verifying via a student email ID, you must also upload a valid Student ID card.
- If a student email ID isn't available and only a physical ID card is provided, Parent PAN verification is mandatory to confirm the order.
Creditworthiness check
By completing verification, you grant Climb Up Gears permission to obtain your credit information from credit information companies (such as Recordent Private Limited or similar) to assess creditworthiness and provide personalised offers on our products.
If verification isn't completed
Your order is confirmed only once verification is approved. If verification isn't completed by the customer, or isn't satisfactory, Climb Up Gears reserves the right to cancel the order — any payment already made will be refunded within 3 working days.
Personal data submitted during verification is securely deleted from our systems upon order cancellation or request, in line with our Privacy Policy.
